Clamp Prototype

Thread winding core rods from a spinning mill are here.

I don’t remember how I reached to this information nor why I was looking for the things like them. Clearly, I got them not for the purpose that I came up with. I’m sure I ended up once they would be no use, Now they will be as violin making clamps.

The idea was simple since I have seen some clamps for sale on the internet. To make them, precise woodworking is required.

I’m learning woodworking every step I have to do for violin making and surrounding stuffs needed for violin making. Cutting straight, perpendicular, measuring and marking angles and distances, drilling and much more. I haven’t worked with plane yet. It will be a big event!

I see videos of violin making with automated tools. They look so helpful and fast but I’m more excited to build as much tools I can as I find many people do while I browse to look for “violin making”. So this is a kind of a byproduct that I am enjoying. The violin making doesn’t need to be completed right away.

The next thing I need is the woodworking vise that some parts are glued and clamped as shown at the left side in the photo.
