Woodworking Vise

While working on the corner blocks attached to the mold, I realized the mold had to be held tightly and fixed.

I looked for a woodworking vise for sale at the beginning, and soon I decided to make one. I chose to spend time rather than money. I would look for a replacement for a product, but I can arrange the one that I make on the other hand. Making my tool DIY is more flexible.

It’s not a perfect result since the round sticks don’t slide so smoothly. Cutting and drilling caused a little out of parallel and perpendicular. Still, it could look fine as a vise and works OK. I even made additional parts to hold the mold with corner blocks which are wider than the mold so the vise would hold the blocks instead of the mold.

DIY takes more time than buying a manufactured product, but it’s less stressful.

The second attempt in cutting corner blocks is finished. I will be moving on to next step. I need to work on another tool before that.
