I met a violin teacher by chance one day and we were chatting music and stuff. I asked if she could try violins and bows I worked and she did on another day. She liked my works and suggested me to visit a violin shop for further improvement so I can see how real violin craftsmen repair and set ups.
Man,I never imagined I could have such an opportunity that excited me a lot! So I set up the date, flight, hotels and everything right away.
It was an opportunity to see their works and elements of the violin. I wish I could share the photos I took during the time I was there but I think I shouldn’t. One day I will post with my work.
As soon as I returned, I worked some points I learned there and recognized it made so much change. I was once again amazed at the depth of the violin, how such a small adjustment could produce such a big improvement.
It was not only a tour of violin technical study, but also the music. A jazz violinist so active and beautiful performance is hosting a jam session monthly and luckily I was able to attend there in one night. Maybe because the session was hosted by a violinist, there were five violin players there one that day. I could meet various players and various instruments. It was really a fun moment for me. I am not able to play any time at this point but people there were so kind and encouraged my performance.

I learned so much in this short trip. Rather than talking all about it here, I aim to actually make them all happen real and share in this weblog.
P.S. I was nothing in the field of violin now but some of them were surprised about my violin case that is over a hundred years old and I refurbished like I do for pianos. I’m still something.
